Katherine Anderson

Katherine Anderson is a data scientist and quantitative researcher who joined the David Lab in late 2025. In her prior career, she worked as a senior manager of investment research and quantitative risk analytics at Charles Schwab and CoBank, respectively. She earned her PhD in Applied Mathematics at N.C. State University, where her dissertation focused on stochastic optimization. Following her career in finance, she completed her M.S. in Nutrition Sciences at the University of Texas at Austin, with a desire to apply computational techniques to nutrition and health applications. At the David Lab, Katherine is working on statistical modeling and analysis of FoodSeq data. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening and visiting the beach with her husband and two daughters.
